Magic of Lights Gives Back to the CHEO Foundation

Ottawa’s favorite holiday tradition continues the giving season with a
$25,000 donation to the CHEO Foundation

The lights have been switched off for the season, but Magic of Lights is continuing
the spirit of giving with a donation to the CHEO Foundation. This season, Magic of Lights welcomed the
CHEO Foundation as a new charity partner and today representatives from Wesley Clover Parks, Fun Guys
and the CHEO Foundation gathered to celebrate the success of this new partnership.

Giving back to the local community is a fundamental part of Magic of Lights, and one of Wesley Clover
Parks’ core objectives. Presenting the $25,000 donation was Wesley Clover Parks Executive Director, Karen
Sparks. “Every year our team looks forward to transforming the Wesley Clover Parks Campground into a
winter wonderland where we can celebrate the holiday season with our community. We are so pleased to
have the opportunity to work alongside our fantastic partners at Fun Guys and Bell Media to bring Magic of
Lights to the national capital region year after year. One of our favorite parts of this event is that it gives us
the opportunity to support amazing local organizations like the CHEO Foundation, and the important work
that they do. All of the families and guests who have made Magic of Lights a part of their holiday traditions
are the ones who make days like today possible, so thank you!”

The CHEO Foundation is responsible for developing, accepting, distributing and recognizing philanthropy
in support of CHEO, the CHEO Research Institute and Roger Neilson House. Dedicated to the best life for
every child and youth, CHEO is a global leader in pediatric health care and research. “We are so thankful to
our friends at Wesley Clover Parks and Fun Guys Events for working together to benefit the kids and young
families who rely on CHEO,” said Kevin Keohane, President and CEO of the CHEO Foundation. “Their
generosity has transformed Magic of Lights into a community success story by helping us to provide the best
possible care for every child and youth who needs us.”

Helping to share this holiday tradition with the National Capital Region year after year is media partner Bell
Media. “MAJIC 100 and CTV are pleased to continue to support this magical event and with it now helping
children in our community receive the care they need from CHEO makes it all the more special” said Richard
Gray, Regional Vice-President/General Manager, Bell Media.

Magic of Lights is a striking drive-through lightshow, taking guests through a festive and vibrant route of LED
displays that celebrate the joy of the holidays. “Those who have made Magic of Lights part of their holiday
traditions will be excited to know that the event will be returning for the 2020/2021 season,” said FunGuys
LLC CEO, Grant Reeves. “Our collective partnership with the CHEO Foundation is just one more way for
Magic of Lights to share the holiday spirit with more families in the Ottawa region and at the same time shine
a special light on a very deserving Foundation.”

Magic of Lights will return to the Wesley Clover Parks Campground in November, for more information about
