Drive-Through Holiday Lights Festival is La Porte’s First-Ever
Tickets Go On-Sale Friday, October 8 at 10 a.m.
LA PORTE, IND.– For the first time ever, La Porte County will have its own family-friendly, drive-through lights festival to celebrate the holiday season. Hosted by La Porte County Fairgrounds and Event Center (2581 W SR 2, La Porte, IN), Magic of Lights will feature nearly one million twinkling lights on its magical route, including familiar favorite holiday scenes and characters that will warm the heart and create special family memories to span across the generations for years to come.
Enjoyed from the comfort and safety of the car, the winding, sparkling extravaganza not only features such festive scenes as 12 Days of Christmas, Tropical Holidays, Santa’s Mountain and the Enchanting Tunnel of Lights, but also a Jolly Holiday Village where guests can pull off to enjoy a visit with Santa and a firepit s’mores package.
“We are excited to bring Magic of Lights to the La Porte community for the first time ever and hope it becomes an annual holiday tradition,” says Ken Hudgens, Owner of Magic of Lights. Randy Novak, La Porte County Council President continues, adding, “La Porte County looks forward to having such a joyous celebration at the Fairgrounds, which will bring excitement to residents and visitors of all ages alike this holiday season.”
Open to the public from Friday, November 19 through Sunday, January 2, 5 to 10 p.m., tickets go on-sale this Friday, October 8 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased in advance online. Though advance purchase can be used any night Magic of Lights is open, purchasing at the gate is also an option. Pricing is set per vehicle and is structured as follows:
Standard Vehicle- Early Bird Discount (online price valid through November 2), $17;
Standard Price (online price valid November 3 through December 9), $20; Prime Price
(online price valid December 10 through January 2), $25; Gate Weekday (November
19 through December 9), $30; Gate Weekend (November 19 through December 9),
$35; Gate Weekday (December 10 through January 2), $35; Gate Weekend (December 10 through January 2), $40.
Limo/Party Bus- Advanced, $40; Gate Weekday, $50; Gate Weekend, $55.
Bus- Advanced, $80; Gate, $100.
