Magic of Lights™ Holiday Display Returns to Daytona International Speedway

  • One Carload, One Price to Enjoy Central Florida’s Newest Holiday Tradition Beginning Nov. 16
  • Portion of the Proceeds to Benefit the Florida Hospital Foundation
  • Officials Present $18,519 Check to Florida Hospital Foundation From Last Year’s Magic of Lights

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2018) – Magic of Lights, the popular drive-through holiday lights experience that made its debut at Daytona International Speedway last year, will return to the “World Center of Racing,” operating Nov. 16 through Jan. 1.

Guests will be able to enjoy spectacular displays, using the latest LED technology and digital animations, from the comfort of their vehicle. The experience will include a drive behind the Ticket and Tours Building, through the state-of-the-art motorsports facility and conclude in the Midway display area.

Among the new light displays for 2018 is Reindeer Crossing where Santa’s sled team jumps over guests’ vehicles, the 200-foot Candy Cane Lane and the Snowflake Forest.

Advance tickets are on sale at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP. Take advantage of special pre-sale pricing of $17 for cars and $35 for oversized vehicles now through Nov. 1. After that, regular ticket prices include:

  • $20 per car in advance, $25 per car at the gate weekdays (Monday through Thursday), or $30 on weekends (Friday through Sunday).
  • Oversized vehicles such as limousines or vans for 15 passengers or more will be $40 per vehicle in advance, $45 per vehicle at the gate and $50 on weekend dates.
  • A special “Dash Pass” ticket that provides front-of-the-line admission on weekends will be available for $40 per car in advance, $45 per car at the gate. For oversized vehicles, the “Dash Pass” is available for $60 per vehicle in advance and $70 per vehicle at the gate.
  • Tour buses cannot be accommodated.

A portion of the proceeds from the Magic of Lights at Daytona International Speedway will benefit the Florida Hospital Foundation with funds designated to support Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s Pediatric Unit. Officials recently presented an $18,519 check to the Florida Hospital Foundation that was generated from last year’s Magic of Lights at Daytona International Speedway.

Magic of Lights is produced by a team of family entertainment professionals at FunGuys Events, each with decades of international show experience at the highest level.

Daytona International Speedway is among seven cities that will host the Magic of Lights displays this coming holiday season. Other iconic venues include Auto Club Speedway, Fontana California (Los Angeles); Jones Beach State Park, Wantagh New York (NYC); Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, Berea Ohio (Cleveland); PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, New Jersey; Castrol Raceway, Edmonton Alberta and Wesley Clover Parks, Ottawa Ontario.

MAGIC OF LIGHTS FONTANA AT AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY
GIVES BACK THROUGH CHARITY DONATION TO CITYLINK

FONTANA, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2018) Auto Club Speedway presented a check to Fontana-based non-profit CityLink for $18,519 as the Official Charity Partner of Magic of Lights Fontana holiday experience.
A portion of the proceeds from the 2017 Magic of Lights Fontana benefited CityLink to help fund their programs and ministries. The Speedway also announced the holiday event will return beginning Nov. 16.

“Making a difference in the community through events is a top priority,” said Dave Allen, President of Auto Club Speedway. “We are happy to partner once again with CityLink for this year’s Magic of Lights.”

“Magic of Lights is honored to support CityLink and their local outreach programs.  Every time a customer buys a car pass to experience Magic of Lights at Auto Club Speedway, a portion of the proceeds provides financial support for their uplifting efforts. We cherish our relationship with CityLink and look forward to supporting them again at Magic of Lights 2018, starting on our opening night, Friday, November 16,” said Tim Murray, Principal of FunGuys Events – producers of Magic of Lights.

Returning this year will be a Toy Drive benefiting CityLink to help the overall goal of collecting 4,000 toys for local families.  Guests who attend Magic of Lights are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy on December 7-8 and December 14-15, 2018 and will receive a discount on admission.

Proceeds from the Magic of Lights help fund a variety of services throughout the City of Fontana and County of San Bernardino.

“We have a food warehouse where we serve 500 families each week. This refrigerator truck is an example of how the proceeds from Magic of Lights help us operate the truck which transports supplies to those in need,” said Anna Ulibarri, Co-Director of Local Outreach for CityLink.

“We are grateful and thankful to the Speedway and the Magic of Lights,” said Willie Ulibarri, Co-Director of Local Outreach for CityLink.

“We had a fantastic turnout last year and are working closely with the producers of Magic of Lights to enhance the drive-through holiday experience by adding more interactive experiences and displays,” said Allen.

Magic of Lights is a dazzling drive-through holiday lights experience featuring LED displays and digital animations.  Guests will enjoy the sparkling displays from the comfort of their own vehicle as they wind slowly through a festive route in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone.

Ottawa Senators Foundation announces a record $400,000 investment in the SENS Campership Program
 
2018 funding pushes overall total to over $1.1 million since 2015
 
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators Foundation (@sensfoundation) announced today a record-breaking $400,000 investment in the 2018 SENS Campership Program that will enable more than 2,000 children and youth from communities in eastern Ontario and western Quebec, to attend camp this summer.
 
Since 2015, the Ottawa Senators Foundation SENS Campership Program has given more than 5,000 children and youth from low-income families the opportunity to experience over 30,000 days at summer camps across the region.
 
The increase in funding addresses a growing need in the community. Research shows that if children and youth participate in social recreation for just five hours per week, it can have a profound impact on their physical, social, emotional and academic development while significantly increasing positive life outcomes.
 
“We are committed to strengthen our community by enabling the Foundation to utilize the brand power of the Senators to raise funds to support charities, both large and small,” said Senators owner and CEO Eugene Melnyk. “I’m proud to announce today that we’ll be supporting 25 different organizations with our SENS Campership Program with a record $400,000 in funding. This now marks more than $1.1 million in investments since we launched the program in the spring of 2015.”
 
“Every child deserves the opportunity to experience summer camp. Facing fears, trying new things, pushing boundaries and developing self-confidence are the types of important life skills that all children need to be successful,” said Danielle Robinson, president, and CEO, Ottawa Senators Foundation. “As a result of the tremendous support we have received from Fondation 24h Tremblant and others, children across the region will have a summer to remember.”
